Are your children talented? Are they little rock stars at home? Or are your children a little shy and need a gentle nudge out of their shell? Then Voice Lessons at KIDS CAN SING are for you! My goal is to help each child achieve his/her fullest potential.

I have been singing Professionally for 16 years. I have had 3 hit records, performed with a group, as a solo artist, backing artist and made records for RCA, POLYGRAM, BMG, UNIVERSAL recording with many talented people over the years. I have performed with live bands, sung on commercials and experience a very rewarding career.

Music has filled a part of my heart that nothing else ever has. When I was a little girl I dreamed of hearing myself on the radio…. and I have. If you have dreams of singing I want to help you accomplish them. Whether it be to sing as a professional Recording Artist or simply “knock ‘em dead” at your uncle Bob & Mary’s wedding. I can help you make your dreams a reality.

I began teaching voice classes in 1992 and twice a year I offer assement and skill building classes for children, teens and adults.

SILVER CLASS: Ages 4-6. This beginning 1 hour "fun" class is for young children to have a good time. It gives them an opportunity to socialize, overcome shyness and express their creativity musically. Students use instruments such as drums, maracas, tambourines and wooden flutes, free style dance and participate in group sing-a-longs. It’s a musical play date and each class will be exciting, fun, and most if all it will encourage your child to express themselves more freely. A monthly recital with coffee & refreshments is held for parents.

GOLD CLASSES: Ages 6-11 & Adult. This intermediate “vocal” class is for students who truly want to start to develop their abilities and learn how to sing. I begin this 1 & 1/2-hour class by listening and analyzing each student's current vocal abilities, discovering their strengths and weaknesses. Then I nurture each student's natural talent and teach the basics of tone, breathing and pronunciation. Students also learn the basics of vocal control, delivery techniques and how to sing in key. Classes will be held in a positive atmosphere of support and encouragement. An introduction to performance techniques will be given and audio taping will be done. Every month students learn one (1) song and perform it solo at the end of the month in front of an audience of their classmates, friends and parents. Feedback will be givenon each performance and children will improve greatly within the structure of this 16 week course.

PLATINUM CLASSES: Ages 11 & up. This advanced “performance” class is for students who are serious about performing and sharing their vocal talents. In this 2-hour class students will learn advanced techniques for controlling their voice, develop singing and performance styles, learn how to perform a song, perform on stage, interact with the audience, develop their own stage presence, and learn successful auditioning techniques. They will receive feedback from other classmates and will be required to sing solo in each class. Advanced singers who have serious potential will be introduced to managers and agents who can move them along to the next level.

After Platinum classes with me your children will shine above the rest and be ready to audition for American Idol or America's Most Talented Kids!

In the Platinum class students will also learn: Recording studio techniques Music Industry Secrets (what you need to know and prepare for) How to build a music career (creating a demo, pitching to labels) How to find work as a vocalist (commercials, soundtracks) How to make yourself marketable and more….

You simply CANNOT learn to sing without a good teacher, or someone who can listen to you at the moment you're making sound. It doesn't matter what you type of music you want to sing: rock, pop, opera, musical theatre; the fundamentals of singing are the same regardless of the genre you want. Learning to be a great singer is like learning to be a great athlete: it takes practice, practice, practice.

Welcome to my newest students Eric Cleenewerk, Taryn Smith and Wynter Daggs

For people who are serious about pursuing music professionally, I have worked extensively on the business end of the entertainment industry: working with Left Bank Organization (Meat Loaf, The Cranberries, Bee Gees), Terry Lippman Company (Adema, Match Box 20), Lee Solters Public Relations (Lionel Richie, Neil Diamond, Dolly Parton) Virgin Records and Agency for The Performing Arts. I was a Talent Agent and my clients included Deniece Williams, Taste of Honey & The Bus Boys. I know the ins and outs of the Music biz.

I have extensive contacts and if your talent, drive and determination warrant it, I will introduce you to some of the top producers, managers and record companies in the music industry.

Currently I am looking for young artists ages 15-25 for a record deal with a Major Record label. Demo tapes, photos or videotapes can be given to me and I will give them to the production team.

Please email Wendyalane1@yahoo.com or call (310) 770-6384 if you are interested in my voice classes.

COST: The cost is $25 per lesson, a minimum of 2 lessons per week are suggested. At the end of each 16 week session students are presented with an achievement certificate. Classes are held in Montrose/Glendale, California.

There is nothing I love more than helping people fullfill their potential! Come join my group and start that journey towards fulfilling your hearts desire.

I look forward to working with you!

Wendy
